Sheesh. A while ago I was complaining that too much time on my hands was making me emo. Now it's tech week and I've got far too little (energy, time, words written of remaining memo due tomorrow by 8ish). It never rains but it pours around here, ja? It's actually pretty fun, if a little scary - we have no run crew so the actors are doing scene changes themselves. (Count yourselves lucky, Savs, that at least with all the other messy drama, you don't have to worry about scene changes except for the ones that happen in intermission. Also that if someone gets hurt changing a set it's a set crew ninja and not an actor. That's worrying me a bit.) They're getting really good at it, though. They also look really good in costumes - if you saw the movie "Cabaret" you'd think they got the ugliest, most run-down hookers off the streets of Berlin and taught them some choreography, but this being SoCal and a college they're. . .emphatically not ugly or run-down. And dressed in lingerie. Fun times. I'm in charge of props and this also weirds me out a bit. Not quite as much as the "no ASM hole on stage right and possibly no headset either" thing, though. Atrica bless, I love it though. (Not going to love it quite as much when I'm up late writing about California water rights, but whatever.)
FETA: 3:32 AM, just got out of the theater, haven't started memo yet (although I have a vague outline), and have 10.5 hours to write it, assuming I don't stop to eat or sleep. Fun times indeed. Never mind, that was easier than I thought it would be. Then again I probably messed up if it was that easy. Will find out in the morning (that is, later this morning).
